Our client, a large and well-established international manufacturing organisation, is seeking a Finance Business Partner (FP&A) to support financial performance and strategic decision-making across the business. This is a high-impact role, working closely with senior leadership to deliver insight, challenge assumptions, and drive operational and commercial excellence in a complex, fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Partner with the Finance Director and senior leadership to deliver actionable financial insights that support strategic and operational decision-making
2. Drive investment, cost optimisation and innovation decisions through robust financial analysis
3. Provide clear and insightful monthly performance reporting, including variance analysis against budget and forecast
4. Recommend corrective actions to support the achievement of EBITA and broader financial targets
5. Lead periodic cost reviews with budget holders to ensure financial discipline
6. Own the annual budgeting process and deliver a detailed, initiative-driven business plan
7. Prepare quarterly forecasts, monthly and weekly flash forecasts, and long-range (5-year) P&L planning
8. Collaborate closely with group finance, operational finance partners and accounting teams to ensure alignment and transparency
9. Promote financial literacy across non-finance stakeholders and influence decision-making through strong business understanding
10. Support strategic projects, ad-hoc analysis and provide cover for senior finance leadership when required
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
11. Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA) with 3+ years' post-qualification experience
12. Proven experience operating as a Finance Business Partner to non-finance functions
13. Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
14. Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems and BI tools is advantageous
15. Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change
