Senior Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide day-to-day support for business users, ensuring seamless automation and manufacturing operations throughout multiple sites.
* Focus on streamlining and standardising automation processes to improve efficiency and functionality.
* Play a key role in reviewing, approving, and executing validation protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Support capital projects by developing and reviewing URS documents for process and automation systems.
* Collaborate with IT operations teams as an escalation point for technical issues and provide expert advice.
* Develop and maintain operational documentation for plant control system infrastructure, including as-built records.
* Ensure that changes to automation systems do not compromise safety, environmental, or quality standards through regular change control procedures.
* Continuously evaluate and improve the automation environment by identifying opportunities for adopting new technologies and best practices.
* Assist in developing standardised data structures and methods to support integration of plant floor manufacturing control systems.
* Propose improvements to systems, equipment, processes, and operations to enhance safety, efficiency, and overall company performance.
Requirements:
* A degree in engineering with at least 5 years of experience in process control, PLC/SCADA, IT architecture, and operations, demonstrating a proven track record of delivering high-impact technology solutions.
* Experience in automation validation in accordance with GAMP and cGMP guidelines.
* Advantageous to have experience in developing Allen-Bradley PLCs, Wonderware In Touch, In SQL, Profibus, Control Net, Device Net, Ether Net technologies.
