Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and oversee all project safety advisors under your supervision.
Champion a culture of safety by implementing and enforcing the company's HSE policies and procedures across the project.
Conduct routine site inspections, reporting findings and ensuring timely resolution of any issues identified.
Ensure the project team is equipped with all necessary HSE documentation.
Verify that project-specific HSE plans align with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Facilitate regular discussions on HSE matters during project review meetings.
Maintain accurate records in line with internal policies and external audit standards.
Support site management and subcontractors with risk assessments, evaluations, and documentation reviews when needed.
Deliver HSE training sessions as agreed with the Project Manager.
Propose and promote safety initiatives and forward recommendations to the Project and HSE & Sustainability Managers.
Assist in incident investigations and ensure timely and effective closure of incident reports and inspection findings.
Act as liaison with regulatory bodies such as the HSA and EPA when required.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in HSE practices and report them accordingly.
Represent the company at relevant HSE meetings and forums.
Support managers with environmental and safety submissions, assessments, and vendor evaluations.
Consistently uphold and promote the company's HSE ethos and values.
Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Degree-level (Level 8) qualification in Health & Safety or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience in project HSE management.
Proven track record as a Chartered Project Safety Advisor.
In-depth knowledge of OHSAS ***** standards.
Chartered Member of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health).
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
Demonstrated capability to lead and manage major accident investigations.
