Business Analyst / Product Owner
Excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst / Product Owner to join a growing software company.
The Business Analyst / Product Owner will be responsible for managing and delivering IT Products through their entire lifecycle, providing key inputs into IT Product strategy and design, and being accountable for IT Product operation and change. This is an Agile Squad role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage changes to IT Products
2. Manage self-contained, autonomous, cross-functional teams aligned to products
3. Drive continuous improvement
4. Key stakeholder and influencer in defining and implementing IT Product strategy and design
5. Develop and execute on both the product roadmap and technical strategy
6. Develop and execute on delivery plans for all assigned areas of responsibility
7. Provide leadership to squads to deliver new software features and components
8. Perform people management activities where applicable
9. Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle
10. Research, learn, evaluate, and make technology recommendations
11. Work with Product Managers and Project Managers to plan and produce deliverables
12. Work closely with Business Analysts where applicable in relation to Product
13. Manage Backlogs/Scrumboards/Kanbans ensuring non-functional requirements are implemented
14. Work with QA manager and QA leads to ensure quality hand-offs from development to QA, and ensuring overall product quality
Key Requirements:
1. Degree in Computer Science or similar
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
3. 3 years plus experience in a similar role
4. Proven track record of software delivery in a Change (Project) & Service Operation (Support) environment
5. Previous experience in an Agile/Scrum environment
6. Solid technical background with hands-on experience in software development
7. Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
8. Ability to lead teams in driving high standards of change delivery & product/service provision
