We are looking for someone who shares our passion and values to expand our team and join us on our success story.We are looking forPassion and aligned valuesSomeone who is passionate about driving climate mitigation and the low-carbon energy transition and whose values are aligned with our vision and missionExperience working on low-carbon and energy efficiency projectsAn experienced project engineer who has worked on delivery of low-carbon energy and energy efficiency projectsAn organised person with excellent time management skills who can prioritise their workload effectively across different projectsExcellent interpersonal skillsA confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills who can liaise with multiple stakeholders to get a project over the lineEnthusiasm and eagerness to learnAn enthusiastic team worker who can think critically and creatively problem solve with an eagerness to learnWhat you will doWork with the Project Implementation team as part of Codema’s Project Implementation Unit (PIU) to facilitate and deliver large-scale low-carbon and renewable energy projectsProject manage, lead and coordinate Codema’s tasks in the roll‑out of such projects, and these tasks will include:Technical analysisFinancial assessmentGrant and funding adviceProcurementContract selection and designBid evaluationContract negotiationsWork with other project teams in Codema teams to feed into these tasks where relevantProjects you will be working on include energy management, energy performance contracts, district heating, renewable energy and electric vehicle chargingSeek out new project opportunities and introduce innovative practicesUndertake any other duties as may be required to support implementation of Codema’s Strategy DevelopmentA minimum 2 year’s experience in a project engineer role on large scale energy projectsMinimum honours Degree (Level 8) in a relevant fieldDemonstrated experience in stakeholder and client managementConfident communications skillsUnderstanding of cost‑benefit, economic and financial analysis of energy projectsStrong organisational and time management/planning skills and the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlinesAbility to communicate complex topics in a simple and understandable mannerStrong analytical and problem‑solving abilityAbility to provide innovative solutions to complex issues in a timely mannerFluency in English is essentialProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint essentialAbility to work with a team and on own initiativeAbility to follow instructions and adapt quicklyAdditional skills that would be a distinct advantageExpertise in renewable energy areas applicable to Dublin, i.e. district heating, building based PV, residential retrofit, and other urban low‑carbon energy solutionsEnergy management or ISO 50001 experienceExperience working with public sector organisations such as local authoritiesKnowledge of Irish energy policyKnowledge of the Infrastructure GuidelinesAdditional certifications e.g. CEM, CMVP, IPMVP, SEAI Certified Auditor, Registered non‑domestic BER assessorPreparing project applications and proposal writingEligibility to work in Ireland is desirableLocationThe Codema office is located on Floor 2, The Grainstore at The Digital Hub, Roe Lane, The Liberties, Dublin D08 KC81 and is accessible by lift. The office is centrally located and accessible by a range of sustainable transport modes.
