Job Summary
This role leads global procurement efforts for a comprehensive category set encompassing direct materials, capital assets, and indirect sourcing. You will develop and implement category strategy, strategic sourcing plans, and a roadmap that directly supports business and operating unit objectives while promoting a globally harmonized procurement operating model.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 * Lead procurement and sourcing leads to deliver objectives and provide mid‑to‑long term direction across accountable categories.
 * Guide and support sourcing teams to apply a global category management framework, execute sourcing and contracting initiatives, and deliver optimal total cost of ownership, supplier base consolidation, and efficiency gains.
 * Provide proactive SRM and SPM for the supplier base, manage supply issues, and coordinate with Global Supply Chain leads on supplier resolution.
 * Possess deep knowledge of Direct Materials, Capital Assets, and Indirect Sourcing landscapes and market drivers, including experience with device, electrical, electronic, and moulded component sourcing.
 * Find and implement strategic sourcing solutions that are new or previously unexploited.
 * Recommend best‑practice standards and internal policies globally, with leadership approval for global implementation.
 * Identify and assess risks and benefits of sourcing decisions and present proposals to mitigate risk.
 * Build and maintain a productive relationship with cross‑functional peers and align cross‑functional targets.
 * Execute supplier relationship management to ensure continuous improvement, best‑in‑class pricing, quality, and service continuity.
 * Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, safety rules, and confidentiality requirements.
Education
 * Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
 * Master’s Degree/MBA preferred.
Work Experience
 * Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in sourcing, supplier, category management, or related functions.
 * Medical device manufacturing experience preferred.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
 * Comprehensive knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures and company policy relevant to the role.
 * Excellent category management, sourcing, SRM, SPM and contracting expertise, including negotiation experience.
 * Demonstrated leadership in high‑performing teams with the ability to influence.
 * Project management skillset and ability to apply proven processes and tools.
 * Ability to partner with senior leadership teams at manufacturing sites and global functions.
 * Strong influencing, change‑management, and negotiation abilities.
 * Ability to present and advocate sourcing cases to diverse audiences.
 * Proactive, fast‑learner, and self‑starter.
 * Excellent analytical, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
 * Proficiency in English.
Travel Requirements
20% travel: up to 52 business days per year.
Physical Requirements
Sedentary work with occasional lifting up to 10 lbs (4 kg). Regular sitting during the work day.
