Job Overview:
A Mechanical Construction Manager is required to oversee site safety, manage site quality assurance, and control project costs. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of the complete design and construction lifecycle and experience in managing large-scale construction projects.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead and support site safety in collaboration with the site and project teams
* Manage site quality assurance with input from the QA team
* Assist in maintaining and tracking the project schedule
* Oversee and control project costs including labour, materials, plant and variations
* Supervise day-to-day site operations and ensure progress aligns with project goals
* Manage the on-site team and coordinate across all disciplines
* Monitor subcontractor performance, progress and manpower levels
* Conduct weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors and package leads
* Manage snagging and punch lists in support of QA/QC
* Report labour hours for direct staff and subcontractors
* Lead site meetings and reviews throughout the project lifecycle
* Support project close-out including documentation, handover and resource relocation
Key Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a Mechanical Construction Manager role or similar
* Trade background or relevant third-level qualification in engineering or construction
* Proven ability to manage teams, subcontractors and construction programmes effectively
* Full clean drivers licence
