Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in the day-to-day management of the service department, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality service delivery.
2. Supervise and support service advisors and technicians in their daily duties, providing guidance and coaching as needed.
3. Handle customer enquiries and complaints, delivering exceptional customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
4. Monitor departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including productivity, efficiency, and revenue targets, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
5. Oversee job scheduling, invoicing, and warranty claim processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
6. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and manufacturer standards, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
7. Provide training, mentoring, and guidance to team members, promoting continuous learning and development within the department.
The Ideal Candidate
* Prior experience in a supervisory role within the motor industry, preferably in a service management capacity.
* Strong technical knowledge of vehicle servicing and repair processes, with the ability to interpret technical information and make informed decisions.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues alike.
* Able to lead, motivate, and support a busy team, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
* Highly organized, proactive, and able to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
* Fully qualified and experienced service manager with a strong track record of success in similar roles.
