Typical Project Exposure (2026)Hyperscale & Colocation Data Centres – contractor-led design coordination Mission-Critical Infrastructure – fast-track, high-complexity builds European Data Centre Campuses – multi-discipline, BIM-driven delivery Experience Summary2–5 years' experience in design engineering within construction, consultancy, or contracting Experience on large-scale projects such as data centres, industrial, pharmaceutical, or commercial developments Familiar with contractor-led, design-and-build delivery models Key Responsibilities Support design development and coordination from concept to handover Produce and review design drawings, calculations, and specifications Coordinate with internal design teams, BIM, and external consultants Assist with Technical Submittals, RFIs, and design queries Participate in design coordination meetings and workshops Support change management and assess design impacts on cost and programme Ensure compliance with quality, H&S, and environmental requirements Assist with as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and final handover Technical Skills Strong understanding of design coordination and construction methodologies Experience with BIM and digital construction tools Proficient in MS Office Auto CAD and Revit experience advantageous Personal Attributes Highly organised with strong attention to detail Proactive and solution-focused Strong communicator and team player If you are looking for your next career move, please send your CV to Grace Birchor call for a confidential discussion.
