The Opportunity:
In your role as a Regional Operations Team Leader for Avantor, you will be responsible for the overall coordination, operational management and business development of the Avantor Services team on our various customer sites throughout the Western Region of Ireland.
You will be responsible for site services health & safety, training & compliance, and the overall line management of our on‑site teams of Material Handlers, Labs associates coordinating their day‑to‑day tasks and ensuring quality performance management processes by setting and continually reviewing KPI metrics and ensuring adherence to our customers’ respective SLA’s and service development on our customer sites.

VWR, Part of Avantor is seeking an experienced Regional Operations Manager to join our Ireland Lab & Production Services (LPS) leadership team.
This is a high‑impact role responsible for managing strategic customer relationships, leading customer‑facing operational teams and supporting the continued growth of our managed services business across Ireland.
Working closely with the Head of LPS Ireland, you'll lead operational teams, drive service excellence, support business development initiatives and identify opportunities to improve and expand our service offering.
What You'll Do
Lead a portfolio of strategic customer accounts and operational sites.
Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders.
Drive operational performance through KPI and SLA management.
Lead, coach and develop a geographically dispersed team.
Support tenders, contract renewals and business growth initiatives.
Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
Support the development of new service offerings and solutions.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation across customer operations.
Play a key role in shaping the future growth and development of our managed services portfolio in Ireland.
What You'll Need
Experience leading teams within an operational, customer-facing or service delivery environment.
Strong stakeholder and customer relationship management skills.
Experience managing KPIs and operational performance.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Commercial awareness and a continuous improvement mindset.
Ability to build credibility and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Ireland.
Experience within Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Laboratory Services, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Facilities Management, Retail, Hospitality, Logistics or other customer‑focused operational environments would be advantageous.
