Retail Duty Manager
Our client, a leading Irish non-food Retailer with a strong presence across Ireland, the UK, and Europe, is seeking a proactive and driven Retail Duty Manager to join their thriving Swords store. As Retail Duty Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the daily operations of the store. You will lead and motivate the team to achieve store goals and KPIs, maintain high standards of customer service, assist in training, stock management, ensure adherence to company policies, health & safety regulations, and operational standards, and handle cash management duties.
Key Responsibilities as Retail Duty Manager
1. Drive sales performance. Consistently achieve and surpass sales targets to enhance profitability
2. Maintain optimal stock levels and effective product placement on the shop floor
3. Foster extensive product knowledge across all departments to improve customer engagement
4. Deliver exceptional customer service
5. Ensure exceptional store presentation by maintaining cleanliness, optimising product displays, and implementing effective space planning
6. Support operational excellence, overseeing staffing, managing daily tasks, team training, and conduct performance reviews to ensure efficient operations.
Skills and Experience Required
7. Demonstrated success in a managerial role within a high -volume retail environment, preferably in sectors such as Big Box, grocery or non-food
8. Proven ability to inspire and develop a large team (30+), fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
9. Excellent organisational and time management abilities, enabling effective operation in fast-paced retail settings
10. Strong analytical skills with a focus on interpreting sales data and using insights to inform key decisions
11. Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, facilitating clear and productive interactions with staff and customers
