We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced chartered engineer to manage two significant infrastructure projects in Ireland.
About the Opportunity
Successful candidates will have a strong background in building or public works projects in Ireland, along with excellent knowledge of Irish building regulations, health & safety legislation, and environmental standards.
The Role
Key responsibilities include project leadership, technical authority, design and compliance, quality and safety, stakeholder management, and reporting.
* Project Leadership: Manage and oversee the civil engineering work.
* Technical Authority: Provide expert technical advice and guidance on all civil engineering elements.
* Design & Compliance: Review and approve civil engineering designs ensuring full compliance with relevant Irish and European standards and regulations.
* Quality & Safety: Implement and monitor rigorous quality control and health & safety procedures on-site.
* Stakeholder Management: Act as main point of contact for OPW, design teams, contractors, and other stakeholders.
* Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and clients.
Candidate Requirements
Essential requirements include chartered engineer status with Engineers Ireland, a minimum of 5 years post-chartership experience in civil engineering, proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects, and excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
