Job Title:


We are seeking a Research Assistant to join our team in the School of Biosystems and Food Engineering.




Job Description


The successful candidate will work on the CampyDecon Project, which aims to develop novel decontamination and detection technologies for poultry processing. The project focuses on spectral imaging, cold plasma, and light-based treatments. The research assistant will contribute to understanding new techniques for maintaining food safety and extending shelf-life.




Key Responsibilities


* To assist in conducting sensory analysis of poultry products
* To evaluate biological safety assurance methods
* To collaborate with industry partners in developing novel interventions




Facts About This Role


* This is a fixed-term position within the School of Biosystems and Food Engineering.
* The salary for this role is €33,291 per annum.
