Position: Project Manager, Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA) Engineering
Location: Cork/Hybrid
Job Description
As a Civil Project Manager, with a focus on Transmission & Distribution, you will play a pivotal role in project implementation and execution. You will coordinate the project team and management of the project on a day-to-day basis to ensure key project milestones are achieved and the successful delivery of the project.
Responsibilities
Planning, controlling and managing the delivery of your project(s) utilising the necessary resource and skills, within the agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality.
Lead, coordinate, and manage project teams, including direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring efficient delivery of civil scope.
Ensure full compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and health & safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Instil a strong safety culture and develop the capability of our project team(s) to take personal responsibility through strong visible leadership.
Carry out regular site inspections to verify adherence to specifications, safety procedures, and quality benchmarks.
Day to day management of client expectations whilst promoting value.
Manage and coordinate external consultants.
Identify and resolve technical challenges during construction, implementing effective and timely solutions.
Provide clear and consistent reporting to the Renewables Division Operations Manager, Contracts Manager and Director.
Deliver projects from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring completion on time and within budget.
Maintain strong commercial and contractual oversight, including a solid understanding of project P&L.
Effectively manage and develop cross-functional teams to support project success.
Requirements
A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Proven experience in the construction and delivery of renewable energy projects, including wind and solar developments. This must include onsite involvement with 38kV, 110kV, and 220kV medium-voltage substations, battery energy storage systems (BESS), grid including ground works, cut / fill excavations, road openings, and utility coordination.
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar site-based construction role is essential.
Excellent delegation and organisational skills.
Ability to lead and mentor a cross-functional team essential.
Ability to work and collaborate with the wider project team essential.
Strong electrical engineering knowledge base.
Strong communications skills, both written and oral required.
