About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement in Manager to oversee and optimise our clients purchasing and material management operations. The role involves managing procurement categories, ensuring accurate inventory control, leading a team, and collaborating across departments to support production and project goals in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage MRP processes, purchase requisitions/orders, vendor scheduling, and inventory reporting.
* Oversee assigned purchasing categories, including analysis, schedule agreements, PO management, and vendor queries.
* Develop and maintain best practice procurement and material management systems and procedures.
* Lead and develop a team, including recruitment, training, performance management, and motivation.
* Ensure other departments are trained on purchasing guidelines and approval processes.
* Prepare and monitor purchasing and shipping schedules, adjusting strategies to align with production plans.
* Develop KPIs for cost savings, supplier performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Manage supplier base to optimize financial performance, quality, efficiency, and sustainability.
Requirements:
* Experience in procurement or supply chain management in complex, competitive industries.
* Experience in regulated manufacturing environments and knowledge of GMP.
* SAP experience is mandatory.
* 3+ years of team management experience.
* Experience leading projects and coordinating cross-functional teams.
* Strong negotiation skills and solid knowledge of procurement principles.
