We are recruiting for a Site Engineer to join our new building project in Co. Limerick.
Your mission
* Set out the works and ensure that foremen and operatives clearly understand the information provided.
* Review information from drawings, specifications, etc., to ensure clarity for foremen, operatives, and subcontractors.
* Test materials as directed by your supervisor/line manager in accordance with relevant specifications.
* Conduct quality reviews on site regarding rebar and concrete placement.
* Review technical submissions before uploading to the design team to ensure the correct areas of work are addressed.
* Oversee concrete testing and results.
* Guide subcontractors regarding works to be carried out in some instances.
* Prepare technical method statements.
* Manage traffic on site, coordinating works within a busy location.
* Record daily activities, relevant information, and occurrences in your site diary.
* Pursue personal development and training proactively, completing work-based development programs in a timely manner.
* Perform work safely, reporting any unsafe practices.
* Develop and maintain professional relationships with all personnel.
* Monitor and check setting out instruments and testing equipment.
* Maximize profit through good self-management, accuracy, and elimination of re-work.
* Follow directions and attend meetings as required.
Who are we looking for?
* A third-level qualification in Engineering.
* Proven experience in setting out or working as a Site Engineer.
* Experience with main contractors, subcontractors, surveying firms, or similar.
* Experience managing traffic for large-scale sites in high-traffic areas.
* Good understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Project, PowerPoint, etc.
