Role: Business Application Support Analyst Location: Waterford Reporting To: IT Manager Terms: 39 hours per week (Hybrid) Salary Range: €38,250 - €49,500 Job Purpose: To support and develop key business applications.
Core Duties and Responsibilities: Support of applications for break / fix issues.
Escalate more complex issues to 3rd level support.
Administration of the Housing system, review and perform routine updates and requested changes to data.
Record and investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, escalate to management and other teams as required.
Co-ordinate the response with external vendors for issue resolution, upgrades etc.
Auditing and cleansing of system data.
Coordinate the required change control and associated UAT.
Liaise and communicate with system users and vendors to ensure systems operate to maximum effect.
Responsible for communication of application related initiatives & changes to end users with regards to application configuration, support and securing of any required downtime for scheduled / essential work.
Proactively identify improvement opportunities, anticipates problems and implement solutions in line with IT standards.
Demonstrates the ability to operate independently or collectively, in a culture of efficiency, helpfulness, innovation, continuous improvement, enthusiasm, reliable & consistent delivery, integrity, partnership and collaboration.
Assist in the planning and deployment of upgrades, feature requests, and new development.
Essential Criteria/Education Qualification: FETAC Level 6 in IT desirable or relevant experience.
Technical Skills/Personal Attributes: Demonstrated track record of administration and support of applications.
Problem solving, proficient in the use of root cause analysis tools(e.g 5-whys).
Ability to understand technical details of manufacturing and development systems.
Experience with Active H. Experience with CRM systems.
Experience with Housing Polices and local authorities.
Experience with Office 365.
Relevant work experience desirable.
Desired Skills/Attributes: Experience with regulatory governance in the housing sector.
Good knowledge of Local Authorities in Ireland.
Motivated to provide positive results and to excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to peers and management outside of IT.
Demonstrates a sense of urgency around meeting commitments and timelines.
Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
Responds positively to changing circumstances and priorities.
Adaptable and flexible with tasks/requirements.
An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving.
Attention to detail.
Highly adaptive with ability to work independently and function in a team as needed.
