FIXED TERM, PART TIME ****** hours per week, 0.5wte) contract The Neonatal Resuscitation Officer is responsible for the planning, organisation and implementation of Neonatal resuscitation training for all appropriate clinical personnel within the Rotunda hospital including doctors, midwives and nurses.
The post holder will support the development of high quality resuscitation services by providing training in accordance with the American Association of Paediatric Guidelines, which meets mandatory training requirements.
Qualifications and Experience: Be registered in the relevant division of the Register of Nurses Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnaimhseachais na hEireann) or entitled to be so registered.
Have at least 5 years post registration experience (or an aggregate of 5 years fulltime post registration experience) of which 2 years must be in the specialty of Neonates.
Have a recognised certificate or higher diploma in neonatal intensive care nursing Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role Candidates must demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development.
Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability including a high standard of suitability and clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
