We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Time Scheduler and Cost Controller to join our Solar EPC team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules and cost plans to ensure effective execution of solar power projects. This role plays a key part in optimizing project delivery by aligning time and financial targets with engineering and construction goals.
Your Key Responsibilities
1. Scheduling & Planning:
* Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using MS Project across all phases: design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
* Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather input and ensure schedule accuracy.
* Monitor progress and update schedules regularly to reflect current project status.
* Identify critical paths, constraints, and schedule risks; recommend corrective actions.
* Prepare look-ahead schedules and progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
1. Cost Control & Budgeting:
* Develop project budgets and cost control systems aligned with contract and financial planning.
* Track project costs and forecast expenditures using tools such as Excel or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
* Analyze cost variances and trends to support risk mitigation and decision-making.
* Prepare monthly cost reports and cash flow projections.
* Coordinate with procurement and finance to validate invoices and monitor vendor payments.
2. Reporting & Documentation:
* Generate periodic progress reports (daily, weekly, monthly) including earned value management metrics.
* Support claim management and change control by providing time and cost impact analysis.
* Maintain accurate records of baseline and updated schedules, cost data, and reports.
Your Profile:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field.
* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in scheduling and cost control within EPC, preferably in solar or renewable energy.
* Proficiency in MS Project, and cost control tools (Excel, ERP systems).
* Strong understanding of project lifecycle in EPC projects.
* Familiarity with contracts, procurement practices, and construction methodologies.
* Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
