Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Job Description
Duties
* Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
* Work as part of a team in the design and implementation of a programme of activities which will provide the social, emotional and intellectual development of preschool children in a busy childcare setting.
* Help maintain an environment which is warm and stimulating and that will motivate and encourage children in their growth and development.
* Provide for the basic needs of children, including meals and snacks, nappy changing and assisting with toileting and hygiene.
* Maintain the Childcare Centre area, its resources and equipment.
* Sit and converse with children, participate in games.
* Assist children with the clean up of activity area after each activity.
* Assist Room Leaders in maintaining a child‑centred environment for children.
* Assist with the hygiene routines in the childcare centre.
