Founded in 2014, CGN Europe Energy is a European subsidiary of CGN Group. We are looking for an OCC Technician to supervise all our wind and solar farms and join our Engineering and Operations department in Dublin, Ireland. The main task is real-time monitoring of our production sites (wind and solar). You will also ensure compliance with intervention protocols and monitor key performance indicators of our sites.
Responsibilities
* Site Monitoring: Monitor wind and solar plants, alarms, curtailment, malfunctions and breakdowns across Europe
* Call supervision: monitor and manage on-site interventions (log-in and log-off with collection of relevant maintenance information)
* Monitor and plan interventions with the grid manager (DSO, TSO)
* Communicate and trigger interventions with OMD and CGNEE Asset Managers through operation notification orders
* Optimize the week-ahead maintenance plan considering wind forecast, market price and human constraints
* Diagnose remote problem solving of communication issues, breakdowns, grid failures
* Compliance with protocols and safety rules: Control access authorizations
* Share information with the HSE Team, project managers and subcontractors
* Ability to manage emergency situations
* Performance indicator tracking: Manage events on the Monitoring system
* Report and relay communication problems
* Collect and report operational statistics (major outages and component failures, communication failures, etc.)
* Other tasks: Assist the OCC Team leader and the department head with reporting and statistical analysis; data quality control and download; monitor power curves, temperature and key operating indicators; suggest optimizations of processes, OCC procedures and tools; act as a main contact for second-layer SCADA web platform and OMD SCADA systems; work in a team to perform continuous 08h/19h – 7d/7d monitoring.
Qualifications
* Engineering school or master’s degree or bachelor’s in renewable projects, data science or related fields (physics, mechanics, etc.)
* First experience in renewables or in a supervision/monitoring center (including internships or work-study)

* Excellent team player with team spirit, goal-orientated, dynamic and able to motivate others
* Quick learner and problem solver
Technical Skills
* Data analytics, programming, strong computer skills and interest in new tools
* English; knowledge of Chinese is a bonus
