Job Title: Construction Cost Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced construction cost manager to oversee our clients' projects. As a key member of our consultancy, you will be responsible for providing expert cost management and project management services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Cost control and advising to design teams and clients during the pre-contract phase
* Preparing pre-contract documents, including bills of quantities
* Managing all post-contract functions, including interim recommendations, cost reporting, client meetings, and final account reconciliations on diverse projects
* Estimating and cost planning, with direct reporting to clients
* Preparing contract documentation, cost reports, and monthly valuations
* Agreeing on final accounts and resolving contractual claims
* Maintaining relationships with clients and design team members through regular meetings
* Continuing professional development and training in quantity surveying practices
Requirements:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
* 1-5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a proven track record in dealing with subcontractors and clients regarding valuations, variations, final accounts, and cost reporting
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other quantity surveying packages, such as Billsoft
