Moulding Engineer Position
Located on the picturesque west coast of Ireland, our global pharmaceutical client is seeking a Moulding Engineer to join their state-of-the-art pharmaceutical facility.
This position offers an opportunity to work in a historic province neighbouring the Atlantic Ocean, blending Irish culture with modernization in a popular seaside town known for its bars, restaurants, and water sports.
Key Responsibilities:
* To partner with quality to ensure product attributes and performance meet all specifications.
* To maintain manufacturing equipment through day-to-day preventative and demand maintenance activities.
* To collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance.
* To maintain records and documentation on relevant engineering procedures and preventative/demand maintenance.
* To liaise with internal/external engineering personnel and contract maintenance providers for troubleshooting, installation, and commissioning of equipment.
* To design and plan new mould tools and processes.
* To integrate new injection mould tooling and equipment into manufacturing processes.
* To oversee technical aspects of existing lines, investigate yields, and quality trends.
* To develop and implement CAPA plans within agreed timelines.
* To lead projects against defined milestones.
* To collaborate with marketing, business development, customers, suppliers, vendors, and internal cross-functional teams as required.
* To ensure projects are delivered on-time and within budget according to business requirements.
Requirements:
* A relevant technical qualification in engineering/science/moulding.
* Degree-level qualifications or relevant experience.
* Relevant experience in moulding, extrusion, and/or polymer processes and technologies.
* Strong analytical problem-solving skills, including statistics knowledge/experience.
* Previous project/process management, product technology transfer/NPI, and validation experience is desirable.
* Results-driven with proven ability to prioritize work.
* Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
* Good working knowledge of quality systems is helpful.
