Position: Education CoordinatorContract: Full Time 12-month contract with a view to permanency (subject to funding)Salary Range: €32,000 - €36,000 (dependent on experience)Location: Remote (with attendance at events and meetings as required at GROW HQ, Waterford)Reporting to: Head of EducationAbout GIYGIY is a leading, non-profit Irish social enterprise working at the intersection of food, health, education, and sustainability. Since 2009, GIY has empowered over 6 million people to grow their own food through our programmes and educational initiatives.GIY's vision for school food education is:Every child grows food at school to learn about food and develop healthy, sustainable dietary habits.Every school has a garden where students learn to grow food.Every teacher is confident to use food growing as an education tool.GROW at School is a structured, curriculum-aligned, garden-based food education programme that uses hands-on experiential learning to help children understand where food comes from and to foster food empathy - a deeper, more conscious relationship with food.Position SummaryGIY is seeking a highly organised and motivated Education Coordinator to support the design, delivery, and evaluation of our school-based education programmes and campaigns. Working closely with the Head of Education, this role will play a key part in delivering high-impact educational initiatives that align with GIY's vision and values.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the design, delivery, and evaluation of GIY's school campaigns, programmes, and educational activitiesWork with a range of partners to deliver educational programmes from development through implementation to reportingSupport the Head of Education across all aspects of educational delivery within GIYProgramme Coordination and DeliveryAct as a primary point of contact for teachers, students, facilitators, and stakeholders, ensuring strong communication and relationship managementCoordinate school recruitment and selection, including programme distribution and delivery logisticsParticipate in onsite educational visits to schoolsSupport the development and delivery of GIY's Teacher Training ProgrammesCommunications and Campaign SupportDevelop and manage communications for education campaigns, including large-scale email campaigns, phone outreach, and targeted stakeholder engagementSupport the scheduling and delivery of digital, PR, and marketing objectives for educational campaigns and programmesMonitoring, Evaluation, and ReportingManage programme and campaign KPIs, impact measurement, and reportingSupport evaluation activities including surveys, focus groups, and one-to-one interviewsMaintain project databases and accurate records for internal and external reportingResources and MaterialsCreate, coordinate, and manage curriculum-supporting resources, assets, and educational materialsSkills & QualificationsWe are seeking an exceptional, experienced individual who shares GIY's culture, vision, and values.
