Objective
Ensure delivery of site targets for all departments within the Site, in terms of sales & profitability through the effective management of all store operations, i.e. Supermac's & Papa John's, Convenience Shop, and Forecourt.
In addition, manage personnel, quality, cleanliness, merchandising, local store marketing, and cost management.

Management
Recruit, train and develop high-quality personnel for all departments.
Oversee rostering and general personnel management to ensure adequate cover within budgetary provisions while maintaining quality service.
Plan and organise all aspects of the operation, including fuel, food (hot & cold – all brands), retail (convenience shop) and ancillary offerings.
In the absence of a Manager, take the leading role, oversee operations and lead by example.
Manage overall performance of the site and drive operations to maximise store potential.
Merchandise professionally, using planograms where necessary to maximise space and offerings.
Utilise effective performance-management techniques in line with labour law.
Communicate continually with Managers regarding objectives and store performance.
Set goals for the store to ensure effective customer service and competitiveness.
Develop and implement a plan for the store, communicate it, and achieve objectives.
Finance
Generate financial reports, analyse them and report discrepancies to the relevant department/Managing Director.
Manage cash handling, implement safe processes and report discrepancies.
Set and achieve budgets for the store.
Control and minimise overheads where appropriate.
Maximise store sales, customer numbers and average spending.
Manage department margins and maximise profitability of each department.
Operations
Ensure the operation runs efficiently and smoothly.
Consistently improve store standards in housekeeping, merchandising, presentation and service.
Plan for market changes and demands.
Manage in-store promotions appropriately.
Implement and manage policies and procedures.
Handle cash management in line with company procedures and address discrepancies.
Ensure store merchandising aligns with company image.
Maintain high levels of customer service.
Deal appropriately with all customer complaints and follow up with improvements.
Recruit, train, and manage personnel and procedures.
Maintain safety systems for customers and staff for optimal health and safety.
Report all accidents and near misses to Head Office.
Stock Management
Maintain effective stock control systems.
Prepare for and manage stock takes.
Minimise stock loss through effective procedures.
Implement and update food management and waste systems.
Identify stock leakage areas and minimise loss.
Implement effective stock rotation and monitoring.
Legislation & Security
Ensure health & safety of all personnel and customers, minimising or eliminating risks.
Maintain forecourt health & safety procedures at all times.
Maintain security of store and personnel.
Take action on security issues as they arise.
Ensure secure opening and closing procedures.
Operate within relevant legislation: labour law, health & safety, HACCP, and sale of goods including alcohol and tobacco regulations.
Stay updated on health & safety legislation, HACCP, labour law, and consumer law.
General
Meet agreed targets.
Undertake other duties as assigned by the company.
