Assistant Manager – Fund Accounting
As an Assistant Manager in Fund Accounting you will work with complex fund structures and manage the accounting for alternative asset classes such as private debt investment real estate and private equity vehicles.
You will oversee the accounting records and reporting timelines for a dedicated portfolio of clients while coordinating regularly with clients, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the accounting books and reporting deadlines for an assigned portfolio of clients
Ensure timely and accurate processing, reconciliation, and review of all fund transactions
Prepare, review, and validate financial statements and NAV calculations
Support and guide junior team members in the preparation of accounts and daily operational tasks
Collaborate closely with clients, auditors, and external parties to ensure smooth reporting cycles
Qualifications
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
At least 3 years of experience in the financial or alternative fund industry
Strong knowledge of alternative fund structures and asset classes (real estate, private equity, private debt)
Solid understanding of accounting principles applicable to Private Debt Funds, Private Equity, Real Estate, Holding Companies, and SPVs
Additional qualifications such as the CFA Program or ACCA are a plus
Experience with consolidation is an advantage
