Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:
* Supervise daily operations of arborist crews across multiple sites.
* Act as PIW, ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
* Liaise with ESB representatives and internal stakeholders to coordinate work plans.
Safety & Compliance:
* Ensure full compliance with ESB and TLI Group safety protocols.
* Conduct site audits, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
* Support and mentor team members in safe work practices and procedures.
Team Management:
* Lead and motivate teams to deliver high-quality work.
* Support onboarding and training of new staff.
* Identify development needs and support career progression within the team.
Planning & Reporting:
* Assist in scheduling and resource planning.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed, incidents, and inspections.
* Report progress and issues to Project Managers and Safety Officers.
About the role
Due to continued growth, TLI Group is seeking a Utility Arborist with ESB Approvals to assist arborist operations across our ESB frameworks. This position is ideally suited for experienced Utility Arborists or former PICWs who are ready to take the next step into a leadership role. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring compliance with ESB and company standards, while fostering a strong culture of safety and operational excellence.
This is a hybrid role, combining field leadership with essential office-based responsibilities. In addition to overseeing on-site operations, the role involves managing outage uploads, maintaining accurate records, and updating the ESB SharePoint system to ensure seamless communication and regulatory compliance.
With a balance of hands-on expertise and administrative oversight, this role offers a unique opportunity to grow into a leadership position while continuing to make a tangible impact on the ground.

Qualifications and Skills
Essential
* Valid Safe Pass
* Full Driving License
* Proven experience in Utility Arboriculture
* ESB PICW Approval
* Strong understanding of ESB site rules and safety standards
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
Desirable
* Previous experience as a PIW or PICW
* UA1 Irl
* TMHC Operator
* NPTC CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39
* B&E License / Tractor experience
* First Aid Certification
* Experience with digital reporting tools
