Role Summary:
The primary goal of this position is to optimize environmental, health and safety standards across multiple utility-based projects. The successful candidate will work closely with senior project and health & safety personnel to implement risk assessment strategies, ensure compliance with regulations, and promote a proactive safety culture on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and coordinate all site EHS activities in alignment with project timelines and legal standards
* Collaborate with internal and external teams to embed health and safety practices across all phases of projects
* Prepare and review risk assessments, method statements, and project safety documentation
* Conduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure ongoing compliance
* Support incident investigations and compile reports on findings and corrective actions
* Actively participate in team briefings, client meetings, and safety forums to promote best practice
* Advise site and project managers on EHS requirements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
* Relevant third-level qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety or related field
* Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role, preferably within construction or infrastructure
* Strong working knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation
* Confident communicator with excellent organisational skills
* Competent in Microsoft Office Suite
* Full, clean drivers licence
