We are looking for a skilled Line Equipment Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background and be able to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
* Taking ownership and responsibility for the technical performance/reliability of equipment to target zero downtime in the technicians area relating to equipment faults, through proactive equipment management.
* Constantly evaluating equipment and process inputs/outputs to ensure optimal visual and functional product performance and taking action before it impacts on uptime or yield.
* Completing PM's on time and offering improvements when found deficient, to ensure optimal equipment performance at all times.
* Identifying requirements for jigs/fixtures to improve workstation efficiency or yield improvement and carrying through into manufacturing through the approval process, with supporting data on the potential gains to be achieved.
* Ensuring tooling including mandrels/trim fixtures etc. are available to the line when required and are in optimal working order and fit for purpose.
* Ensuring and maintaining a sufficient Kanban and robust process for consumable equipment spares to minimise downtime.
* Supporting on-boarding of new technician hires when required.
* Being fully competent in manufacturing product through all worksteps and in identifying Accept and Reject samples for all steps.
* Understanding the intended use of product and the impact of defects to functionality of product.
* Performing functional testing of product where required.
* Continually reviewing the manufacturing process for improper application of work methods and equipment settings.
The ideal candidate will have Level 6 or above in Engineering or equivalent (preferably Mechanical, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering), minimum 5 years experience in a technical role in a similar field is required, demonstrated experience with automated equipment maintenance is an advantage.
