The Vet Office is proud to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a modern, progressive small animal hospital in Ashbourne, Co. Meath.
This is an excellent role for a confident GP vet who enjoys a mix of medicine and surgery, and is looking to work within a well‑equipped, supportive, and forward‑thinking environment. You'll be joining a collaborative team committed to delivering the highest standards of patient care.

Facilities include:
Advanced imaging including CT
In‑house laboratory
Digital and dental x‑ray
Ultrasonography
Two fully equipped surgical theatres
Four consultation rooms
Separate dog and cat wards
The hospital is centrally located in Ashbourne, with free all‑day parking, and operates a dedicated out‑of‑hours emergency service supporting both internal and external cases.
The Role
You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality veterinary care while working alongside an experienced and supportive team.
Key responsibilities:
Provide excellent medical and surgical care
Manage a varied caseload with confidence
Deliver outstanding client communication and service
Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the hospital
Contribute to maintaining high clinical standards
What We're Looking For
3+ years' experience in small animal practice
Confident in both medicine and routine surgery
Strong clinical decision‑making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
A proactive, motivated, and team‑oriented mindset
Commitment to continuous professional development
