Trust Advisor to join our team.

Summary:
The Senior Trust Advisor is responsible for the administration, oversight, and strategic management of a portfolio of complex trust and estate accounts.
This individual will serve as the primary advisor to high-net-worth clients and their families, providing expert guidance on trust administration, estate planning, fiduciary responsibilities, and wealth transfer strategies.
The role also involves collaborating with internal teams and external advisors to deliver comprehensive wealth management experience to clients and prospects.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Trust Administration:
Manage a book of trust and fiduciary accounts, ensuring compliance with governing documents, applicable laws, and fiduciary standards.
Interpret and apply trust and estate planning documents such as wills, revocable/irrevocable trusts, charitable trusts, and generation-skipping trusts.
Client Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building long-term relationships based on trust and expertise.
Proactively identify clients' needs and recommend appropriate fiduciaries, investment, and wealth planning solutions.
Estate and Wealth Planning:
Advise clients and beneficiaries on estate and wealth transfer strategies in collaboration with legal, tax, and investment professionals.
Stay current on changes in trust and estate laws, tax regulations, and fiduciary best practices.
Ensure that trust accounts are administered in accordance with applicable laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in audits, risk reviews, and compliance processes as needed.
Work closely with investment officers, financial planners, tax advisors, and legal counsel to provide holistic wealth management services.
Mentor junior officers and contribute to the professional development of team members.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (JD, MBA, or similar) preferred.
Certifications:
CTFA (Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor), CFP, or related certification highly preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in trust administration, estate planning, or private wealth management.
Skills:
Deep knowledge of fiduciary principles, estate planning, tax law, and financial instruments.
Proven ability to retain and grow client relationships.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive client relationships with discretion and professionalism.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience working with ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family offices.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Familiarity with trust accounting systems and CRM platforms.
