Bid Manager
This is a dynamic and challenging role for an experienced Bid Manager to lead the tendering process within our company.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end tendering process, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality bids that align with our business objectives.
This involves coordinating with various departments, understanding client requirements, preparing compelling proposals, and fostering client relationships to secure new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the tendering process from initial qualification to submission.
2. Analyse tender documents and customer requirements to assess opportunities, feasibility, risks, and potential.
3. Develop comprehensive and competitive bids, proposals, and pricing structures to maximise profitability while meeting client expectations.
4. Ensure compliance with all technical, financial, legal, and regulatory standards required within the industry.
5. Collaborate with engineering, project management, finance, procurement, administration, and legal teams to gather input for bid proposals.
6. Negotiate with external suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to gather accurate data and cost estimates.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification is an advantage.
* 7+ years of experience in tendering, proposals, or project management within the energy sector, ideally within the Irish or EU market.
* Strong understanding of the energy industry, specifically in renewable energy, power generation, or infrastructure projects.
* Technical skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word. Familiarity with tendering software and CRM tools.
