Senior Financial Controller Role
This position plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial management of Credit Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs). The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and disseminating financial and operational information related to these vehicles.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage the books and records for SPV Aggregator structures on the Credit platform, in partnership with a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) where applicable.
* Prepare annual GAAP financial statements and coordinate audits with external auditors.
* Play an active role in fund reporting, including the preparation of quarterly financial statements and consolidation reporting to the Public Reporting Group.
* Provide oversight on TPA's work mandate, SLAs, performance metrics, schedules, etc., ensuring targets are hit and escalating issues as needed.
* Be responsible for detailed equity accounting and analysis, including complex partnership equity accounting and asset valuations.
* Involvement with operational duties, including capital activity and liquidity management.
* Liaise with KKR Deal Teams from time to time to aid the financial control elements of the investment holding stack for their deals.
* Assist with ad-hoc requests, auditor questions, and frequent interaction with deal teams and asset management teams.
* Collaborate and integrate with other internal teams, such as Asset, Liability, and Portfolio Services (ALPS), Operations, Treasury, Compliance, Legal, Tax, Technology, and Portfolio Monitoring, to effectively carry out all duties associated with financial control on the SPVs.
* Stay up-to-date on all major accounting, regulatory, and reporting changes that affect the SPVs.
* Assist with projects and ad-hoc requests as needed, such as driving business process simplifications and efficiency initiatives, reviewing and enhancing financial systems/technologies, and building out policy and procedure documentation surrounding TPAs.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 10+ years of relevant financial experience within fund accounting.
* Qualified Chartered Accountant preferred or advanced degree in Finance required.
* Investran and/or Geneva experience preferred.
* Third-Party Fund administrator coordination experience preferred.
* Strong investment company fund accounting skills with US GAAP & IFRS knowledge.
* Outstanding business judgment; contributes to broader business matters and complex decisions addressed by the wider Finance Team.
* Exceptionally strong financial and analytical capabilities.

* Effective communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across the broader team, as well as externally.
