Purchasing Professional Role
This critical role involves collaborating with various departments to source materials, manage suppliers, and drive business results.
Main Duties
* Optimizing purchasing decisions to balance cost, quality, and delivery times.
* Coordinating procurement activities, including purchase orders and supplier communication.
* Expedited order processing to meet production deadlines, targeting a delivery rate above 98%.
* Fostering relationships with suppliers, partners, and stakeholders to enhance collaboration and shared goals.
* Supporting new product introductions by setting up purchasing data efficiently.
* Handling administrative tasks, such as file maintenance, document storage, and agreement updates.
* Contributing to the development of strategic supplier partnerships and reducing inventory levels.
* Monitoring and enhancing supplier performance, focusing on on-time delivery, quality, communication, cost savings, and process improvements.
* Identifying and implementing cost-reduction initiatives across direct and indirect expenses.
* Ensuring compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and applicable laws.
Required Skills and Experience
* At least 3 years of experience in purchasing electronic or electro-mechanical components using an MRP system.
* Experience working in a manufacturing or design environment, with a minimum of ISO 9001 or EN/AS9100 certification.
* A technical or engineering qualification in a relevant field would be advantageous.
