This Supervisor Quality Control is responsible for leading and overseeing daily QC laboratory operations to ensure product testing, release, and compliance activities support supply chain needs and real‑time program requirements. The role ensures that testing is conducted accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory, quality, and safety standards.
In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
Supervise QC biochemists and coordinate test schedules to support production, supply chain, and program requirements.
Maintain accuracy and currency of QC processes, procedures, and laboratory documentation.
Ensure QC personnel are trained and compliant with procedures, test methods, cGMP, and BHR requirements.
Support performance management activities, including coaching, mentoring, and development planning for QC team members.
Supervise departmental stock control and purchasing activities to ensure laboratory readiness.
Participate in departmental and cross‑functional events, Kaizens, and continuous improvement activities.
Act as Deputy for the Senior QC Manager, as required.
Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management.
The Essential Requirements Of The Role Include
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or another relevant technical discipline.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a laboratory environment within an FDA‑regulated or similarly regulated industry.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proven people skills, with the ability to motivate teams and achieve results through influence and collaboration.
Demonstrated, disciplined problem‑solving capabilities in a quality‑driven environment.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical / Environmental Requirements
Ability to work in a laboratory and manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods and moving between laboratory and production areas.
Work may involve exposure to laboratory chemicals, biological materials, and controlled environments, with appropriate PPE required.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in
Hands‑on experience with statistical tools and data trending to support laboratory performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
Implementation or support of continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen activities in a laboratory setting.
