The Key Responsibilities Are But Not Limited To
Ensuring that Cork Nature Network is complying with its charitable purpose for the public benefit
To have an understanding of all Financial policies and controls and propose any recommendations for change.
Have an overview of the finances to advise the Board on financial implications of proposals, cash flow problems etc.
Oversight of compliance and risk management of finances in line with usual board responsibilities
To be an authorised signatory of the Charity and liaise with the bank
To oversee the book keeper and ensure bookkeeping systems are kept up to date and in good order.
To present the accounts at the AGM and liaise with the CNN accountant
Ensure CNN accounts are sent to the relevant authorities e.g. Revenue, Charity Regulator, Companies Registration Office.
To attend the board meetings in person or visual presence. There are approximately 4 board meetings per year.
To oversee and support the company book keeper and act as a liaison with the company accountant.
This role can be undertaken remotely. The successful person should have good project management skills and ability to understand financial procedures. Some training offered. For accounting and meeting purposes, Ireland based only. #J-18808-Ljbffr
