Office Administrator and Warehouse Assistant

This role is split between the seed room and the main office, supporting both operational and administrative functions. You will be responsible for picking and packing seeds and point-of-sale materials, assisting with the receipt and dispatch of sales orders across independent, key, and national accounts.

The role involves managing the flow of goods from receipt through put-away to dispatch, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness at all stages. You will help maintain a safe, efficient, and hygienic environment while ensuring parcels and loads are ready to meet collection and delivery schedules.

Main Duties

* Print customer orders from the system and prepare them for dispatch.
* Pick, pack, and despatch customer orders accurately and efficiently.
* Assist with checking in deliveries and ensuring items are stored correctly.
* Support the maintenance of accurate stock levels at all times.
* Promote and maintain Health and Safety best practices across the site.
* Facilitate effective communication within the site and with other locations.
* Undertake general office duties as required.
* Support D365 purchase order management and related administrative tasks.
* Assist with maintaining a tidy, organised, and safe working environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a distribution centre, warehouse, or picking/packing environment, with the ability to manage tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Key skills and attributes include:

* Previous experience in warehouse or stock-handling roles, including picking and packing.
* Previous experience with with D365.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Flexible approach to work, including occasional extended hours during peak periods.
* Basic level of Microsoft Excel.

* Flexibility may be required to meet the needs of the business.
* During busy or peak periods, extended working hours may be necessary
* This is a maternity cover role, with duties spanning both operational and administrative areas.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term

Contract length: 12 months
