Job Title: Manufacturing Line Equipment Technician
This role is responsible for the technical performance and reliability of manufacturing line equipment, ensuring optimal product output and minimal downtime.
1. The technician will take ownership and responsibility for equipment maintenance, targeting zero downtime and proactive management.
2. Evaluating equipment inputs/outputs to ensure optimal visual and functional product performance and taking action before it impacts on uptime or yield.
3. Completing PMs on time and offering improvements when found deficient, ensuring optimal equipment performance at all times.
4. Identifying requirements for jigs/fixtures to improve workstation efficiency or yield improvement and carrying through into manufacturing with supporting data.
5. Maintaining a sufficient Kanban and robust process for consumable equipment spares to minimize downtime.
6. Supporting new technician hires when required and being fully competent in manufacturing product through all work steps and identifying Accept and Reject samples.
7. Continually reviewing the manufacturing process for improper application of work methods and equipment settings and communicating promptly and clearly with regard to equipment and process issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A Level 6 Higher Certificate or above in Engineering or equivalent (preferably Mechanical, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering) is essential.
* Minimum 5 years experience in a technical role in a similar field is required, with demonstrated experience with automated equipment maintenance an advantage.
* The ability to troubleshoot complex machine faults through experience with electrical and pneumatic systems.
* Highly motivated individuals with good initiative and strong work ethic are required, as well as a demonstrated process and continuous improvement mindset.
* Excellent time management, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills are necessary, as is the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* A strong commitment to quality, safety and GMP standards is essential.
