Bartender

The Bartender ("B") position at Hogs Head Golf Club ("HHGC") is a wonderful opportunity to serve at one of the top private, resort golf clubs in the world. HHGC is seeking an experienced, dynamic and innovative "B". As part of our Food and Beverage department, the candidate will join a large team focused on building, cultivating and delivering exceptional service for our members and guests. This person must have the attitude, work ethic and personality to provide guest centric personalised service for our guests. Our Bartenders are custodians of our Lough Currane restaurant bar overlooking Lough Currane and McCarthys bar overlooking Ballinskelligs Bay. This position will work closely with and report directly to the Director of Food & Beverage and General Manager of Hogs Head Golf Club. The successful candidate MUST possess the service gene and DNA with sincere and genuine desire to provide the ultimate experience for all HHGC Members and Guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
* Provide excellent service to ensure our guests have an enjoyable and expertly served food and beverage experience.
* Establish individualised personal guest contact and create familiarity with our members and guests and their preferences.
* Have a robust knowledge of classic cocktails and spirit knowledge, specifically to whiskeys.
* Proactively anticipate our guests needs and go above and beyond to ensure the individual has what they need when they need it.
* Prepare the outlet ready for service according to our standard operating procedures.
* Ensure that you have exceptional food and beverage knowledge of product which will be provided to you in the form of training.
COMMUNICATION:
* To liaise efficiently with the HOD's to enhance our members and guest's experiences at all times.
* Maintaining effective communication to ensure plans, challenges and successes are understood, and individual performance is aligned to Company requirements.
* Respond to any complaints and find the appropriate solution.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT:
* Continuously develop job knowledge by attending and/or completing all scheduled company training.
* Promoting and contributing to a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
* Ensure team members are conversant with and aware of Company standards and that those standards are fully implemented.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
* Previous Experience in Food & Beverage outlets desirable.
* Demonstrate experience in improving guest satisfaction.
* Classic cocktail knowledge essential.
* Team orientated individual.
CRITICAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
* Patient and friendly with demonstrated experience in problem solving
* Professional and outgoing personality
* Able to work effectively with and present information to other department heads, staff and vendors
* Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, colour vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
* Occasionally required to walk or move to various locations within the property; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
* A noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
* Schedule must be flexible to include weekends and holidays.
