Design Build Search is working with a leading independent project and cost management consultancy that continues to expand. Due to successful growth, they are looking for an Intermediate Cost Manager in Cork. The successful applicant will work closely with an experienced Associate Director. This position offers structured career progression and mentorship.

Minimum Requirements:
* Degree qualified in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying
* 7+ years’ PQS experience
* Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Analyze blueprints and documentation to prepare estimates of time, cost, materials, and labor
* Perform all quantity surveying duties including measurements, valuation, and agreement of work sections
* Experience in project management
* Proficiency in estimating packages, Microsoft Excel, and Word
* Consult with clients, vendors, personnel from other departments, or construction managers/supervisors to discuss costs
* Monitor costs from vendors or subcontractors, explore variances, and manage issues in conjunction with the manager
* Report on actual costs and examine estimates used by management for planning, organizing, and scheduling work
* Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other documentation throughout the project
* Assess cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops
* Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
* Conduct studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data for cost reduction
