This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of dedicated professionals in the intellectual disability sector. As a Social Care Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that individuals with intellectual disabilities receive high-quality care and support.
The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership qualities, including strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to motivate and develop their team members.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of staff and ensure they implement organisational policies and procedures.
* Motivate and develop the staff team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent care and support.
* Report to the Person In Charge (PIC) and work closely with them to ensure the service runs smoothly.
* Demonstrate a proven track record in delivering Person-Centred systems services and supports.
* Have excellent knowledge and understanding of Health Act Regulations, HIQA Standards, and all other relevant legislation.
Requirements:
* A Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Studies/Social Care/Nursing or equivalent qualification.
* Be on the current register of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland if applying for CNM1.
* A minimum of 2 years working with people who have an intellectual disability.
* A flexible working approach that responds to the changing needs of a 24/7 service.
* A Full Manual Driver's License.
