Key Responsibilities:
As a leading Associate Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Consultant, you will work closely with technical environmental specialists and design teams across various sectors to drive environmental excellence in project designs and assessments. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing the environmental performance of diverse projects across multiple sectors.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for influencing, leading, and delivering environmental aspects of engineering projects. This role encompasses a wide range of sectors, including rail, highways, energy, and commercial/residential developments, from feasibility through planning, detailed design, construction, and handover/maintenance phases. You will be responsible for leading projects, including tasks related to recruitment, bidding, project team management, project delivery, and financial management.
* Development and Delivery of Comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment Reports
* Taking Ownership of Projects from Inception to Completion, Providing Regular Project Updates to the Environment Team Director and Clients;
* Project Lead on EIA Projects Involving Multidisciplinary Teams;
* Technical Leadership in Disciplines Related to EIA, Such as Ecology, Noise, or Air Quality, an Advantageous Skill Set;
* Preparation of Planning Applications, Licenses, Permits, and Annual Environmental Reports, Including Waste Licenses;
* In-Depth Knowledge of Regulatory Environments in Ireland, Including Planning and Permitting/Licensing Requirements;
* Prioritizing Projects While Balancing Client Expectations, Available Staff Resources, and Project Deadlines;
* Proposal Preparation and Identifying Follow-on Work Opportunities with Existing Clients and Developing New Opportunities to Broaden the Client Base;

Requirements:
* A Comprehensive Understanding of EIA and Planning Laws Affecting EIA in Ireland;
* A Relevant Environmental Degree-Level Qualification in EIA or Similar Field;
* A Minimum of 10-12 Years' Post-Graduation Experience;
* Demonstrable Post-Qualified Experience Leading Environmental Assessments on Various Projects, Including Large-Scale Infrastructure Projects Across Different Development Sectors;
* Comprehensive Project Management Skills, Including Commercial and Risk Aspects, Forecasting, and Quality Assurance;
* Experience in Work Winning and Bid Preparation Activities;
