ResponsibilitiesOversee day‑to‑day finance operations of the hotel and maintain accurate accounting records.Generate bills and collect all revenue owed to the hotel in an accurate, timely manner in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.Manage all aspects of the accounting records including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and General Ledger reporting.Reconcile cash handling functions for the hotel and investigate any discrepancies.Produce weekly revenue and payroll reports and monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.Prepare bi‑monthly VAT returns and submission to Revenue in a timely manner and complete year‑end accounts liaising with external auditors.Maintain all ledgers of the property management system – deposit ledger, guest ledger and city ledger and coordinate with the Front Office team on resolving any imbalances found.Maintain all aspects of payroll to include recording of new employee commencements, management of Time & Attendance, processing of weekly payroll on Sage Micro‑pay, Revenue returns and uploading of payroll files to bank for payment.Maintain all aspects of accounts receivable and accounts payable processing and reconciling supplier payments and preparing monthly supplier payment runs.Reconcile all bank receipts and payments and weekly reconciliation of all bank accounts ensuring correct reporting from the Point of Sale (Access POS) to the Property Management system (Guestline) to the accounting software (Sage 50).Review employee expense claim forms and payment of same and perform any other job‑related duties as and when assigned by the general manager / director / accounts manager.QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in the Republic of Ireland.Knowledge of Sage 50 accounts, Sage Micro‑pay and PMS system Guestlist an advantage.Knowledge of Revenue VAT and PAYE returns an advantage.Excellent communication skills with great attention to detail.Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel and fluent written & spoken English.BenefitsExcellent work culture, Competitive rates of pay, Staff meals provided, Discount across OIH & RCOI brands, Free onsite parking, EAP programme in place.
