Job Description – High-End Furniture Spray Painter (Full Time)OverviewA leading bespoke manufacturing and fit-out specialist is seeking an experienced High-End Furniture Spray Painter to join their production team. This role suits a detail-driven craftsperson with extensive experience in finishing premium furniture, cabinetry, doors, and bespoke joinery elements to the highest possible standard.The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in 2K paints, lacquers, stains, hand-finishing, colour matching, and high-gloss/ultra-matte finishes, and takes pride in flawless results.Key ResponsibilitiesFinishing & SprayingApply high-quality finishes to bespoke furniture and cabinetry using 2K polyurethane, lacquers, primers, stains, and specialised coatings.Prepare surfaces to an exceptional standard: sanding, filling, sealing, priming, and edge detailing.Work with MDF, solid woods, veneers, and composite materials.Achieve consistent finishes across multiple components, including high-gloss, matte, textured, and bespoke finishes.Mix, tint, and match colours accurately to design specifications.Apply multi-stage finishing systems including undercoats, base coats, top coats, and protective layers.Quality ControlInspect all pieces for defects, imperfections, and colour inconsistencies.Ensure all finishes meet or exceed high-end client expectations.Maintain strict quality standards throughout the entire finishing workflow.Workshop ProcessesOperate spray booths, extraction systems, and spray equipment safely and efficiently.Maintain tools, guns, and equipment to ensure optimal performance.Manage paint stock, materials, and product batches.Work closely with production teams, designers, and joiners to ensure finishing aligns with project requirements.Health & SafetyFollow all safety protocols relating to ventilation, PPE, handling chemicals, and safe operation of spray equipment.Maintain a clean and organised work area according to workshop standards.RequirementsMinimum 5 years experience as a spray painter in furniture, joinery, or high-end cabinetry.Strong background in 2K systems, lacquers, stains, and specialised coatings.Ability to deliver consistent, flawless finishes on premium products.Accurate colour matching and experience working with both water-based and solvent-based systems.Skilled in prepping materials to a very high standard.Strong English (spoken and written).Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.BenefitsCompetitive salary (DOE).Consistent full-time hours with long-term stability.Opportunity to work with premium materials and bespoke, high-value projects.Supportive workshop environment with high professional standards.Training and development opportunities for advanced finishing systems.
