Job Description
The Colas Group operates internationally in all aspects of transport infrastructure. As part of the global organisation, our company is primarily involved in the distribution of bitumen products, emulsion and emulsifier manufacturing, and the provision of specialist road maintenance services on the national, regional and local road network.
In Ireland we operate from 14 locations across the island. Our main responsibilities include conducting chemical, bitumen and bitumen emulsion testing to defined specifications and test procedures.
We record, analyze and communicate test results to our Technical Manager, plant foreman and other team members. We participate in product development work and technical support – for both our group of companies and external customers.
Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering or Chemical Engineering. It is essential you have computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
You will be a quick learner with good numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills. You will have good organisational skills with the ability to multi-task. Last but not least, you will be self-motivated and able to work both under your own initiative and as a team player.
