Senior Cybersecurity Engineer – Galway
My client, a US multinational who are established in Galway, are currently seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer in the Enterprise Cybersecurity business unit.
As part of a dynamic team focused on delivering state-of-the-art tools, libraries, and security solutions, you will have the opportunity to influence key decisions, lead system deployments, and integrate cutting-edge cybersecurity measures with existing systems.
Requirements:
· Hands on experience with automation & pipeline implementation.
· Expertise in security areas such as Pen Testing, Static Composition Analysis, SAST, DAST, and API protocols/frameworks.
· Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and OWASP API Security Top 10, along with secure coding practices.
· Working experience with cloud environments would be advantageous.
· Knowledge of data processes such as ETL, ELT, data modelling, and proficiency with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar, as well as Oracle or other RDBMS, is an advantage.
· Strong understanding of engineering principles, patterns, and practices.
· Background in modern agile engineering methods with a focus on operational excellence.
· Proven ability to collaborate effectively with teams or vendors to achieve positive outcomes.
· Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
· A passion for continuous learning and the ability to mentor and support team members.
Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain SAST, SCA, and secret scanning tools within developer workflows and pipelines.
· Evaluate and leverage open-source or vendor technologies to address application security vulnerabilities.
· Enhance engineering excellence through improved automation, test coverage, release velocity, and production health.
· Solve real-world problems by delivering practical solutions that meet business needs.
· Document processes, configurations, and insights to promote knowledge-sharing across the organization.
· Engage in meaningful discussions with technical expertise and strong communication skills.
· Act as a collaborative, autonomous team player while building trusted relationships with business stakeholders.
