Person in Charge (PIC)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced social care professional or registered nurse with proven leadership skills to join our team as the Person in Charge (PIC) of our Residential Services. The PIC will play a critical role in overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of our designated centre, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are consistently delivered.

Key Responsibilities
Act as Person in Charge of the designated centre
Manage regulatory compliance
Serve as Safeguarding Designated Officer
Oversee services, supports and outcome management
Manage health, safety and risk
Oversee resource management
Drive staff development
Provide professional leadership
Qualifications and Experience (required)
Degree in Social Care, Applied Social Studies, RNID, or related field (validated by QQI)
Management qualification
Minimum of three years experience in a supervisory or management role
Registered with CORU
Full driving licence
Proficient in oral and written English
Legal right to work in Ireland and hold valid work authorisation
Core Competencies
In‑depth knowledge of the intellectual disability sector, including current trends, best practices and regulatory requirements
Knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations
Exceptional leadership abilities, inspiring and empowering a team to achieve excellence
Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship‑building skills
Strategic thinking and decisional skills, focusing on innovation and continuous improvement
Commitment to person‑centred principles, human rights and advocacy
Proven ability to manage change and drive service improvement
