Job Description
You will ensure the King & Moffatt Group follows external regulatory laws and internal policies by conducting risk assessments, developing procedures, providing training, and performing audits. You will act as the organisation's "conscience" to mitigate legal and financial risks, safeguard reputation, and promote a culture of ethical behaviour by educating employees and investigating potential violations.
Key Responsibilities
* Regulatory Compliance: Staying updated on all relevant laws and regulations for the Group's industry and ensuring the organisation adheres to them.
* Policy Enforcement: Developing, implementing, and monitoring internal policies and procedures to ensure they are followed throughout the business.
* Risk Management: Conducting regular risk assessments of the Group and our supply chain to identify potential areas of non-compliance and implementing controls to mitigate these risks.
* Auditing and Monitoring: Performing internal audits and reviews of business activities and transactions to check for adherence to policies and regulations.
* Employee Training: Educating employees on compliance matters, such as data protection, anti-bribery, or industry-specific rules, and fostering a culture of compliance.
* Investigations and Reporting: Investigating reported violations or irregularities and reporting findings to management, as well as ensuring corrective actions are taken.
Qualifications
* Background in one or more of the following areas:
* Accountancy
* Business Administration
* Finance
* Law
* Experience in Compliance or Internal Audit (advantageous)
* Ability to assess and evaluate risk
* Excellent reporting skills
* Strong organisational abilities
* High attention to detail
