Job Title
The Cost Accountant Lead is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of product costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting across manufacturing operations.
* Maintain and update standard costs; lead the annual cost refresh.
* Analyse manufacturing variances (PPV, absorption, freight, scrap, etc.) and provide cost insights for pricing decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Complete monthly inventory close activities, journal entries, and reconciliations.
2. Collaborate with Operations to strengthen inventory processes and controls.
3. Monitor inventory levels, manage cycle counts, and assess aged/obsolete stock.
This role ensures accurate valuation in line with accounting standards and supports audits. Strong analytical skills are required.
Requirements:
* 5+ years in cost accounting or financial analysis, ideally in manufacturing.
* Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory management.
* ERP experience is required; SAP is preferred.
* Experience supporting internal/external audits is also required.
