The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the efficient operation of warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.

Key Responsibilities:

* Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload freight vehicles using a counterbalance forklift truck (FLT).

* Goods Inwards: Receive and process goods inwards accurately and efficiently.

* Stock Management: Store stock in designated warehouse locations using a reach FLT with racks up to 7 meters high.
">
* Picking and Packing: Accurately pick and pack orders from stock, following the FIFO method.
">
* Order Preparation: Prepare orders for dispatch, including pallet building.
">
* Transport Bookings: Input transport bookings into the freight system for tracking and management.
">
* Customer Communication: Communicate effectively with external customers, suppliers, and contractors.
">
* Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments, including operations, finance, and management, to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
">
* Stock Control: Participate in regular stock-taking and cycle counting procedures.
">
* Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe working environment through consistent housekeeping duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

* Valid and Up-to-Date Licenses: Hold a valid and up-to-date counterbalance and reach FLT license.

* Manual Handling Certificate: Possess a current manual handling certificate.
">
* Warehouse Experience: Have at least two years' experience working in a warehouse environment, particularly in fast-paced settings involving groupage loading.
">
* Attention to Detail: Demonstrate proven ability to accurately pick stock with strong attention to detail.
">
* Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems: Be proficient in warehouse management systems for data entry.
">
* Strong Communication Skills: Possess strong command of both written and spoken English and excellent communication skills.

* Microsoft Office Proficiency: Be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook and Excel.

* Time Management: Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a high-pressure environment with minimal supervision.

* Customer Service Orientation: Strong customer service orientation and commitment to meeting customer needs.

* Flexibility: Willingness to undertake additional duties as required.
